Saturday evening Entertainment:
Cowboy Poet
Bill May of Kearney and Pat Boilesen of Albion will be the featured
entertainment.
Bill will bring tears to the eyes but just as quickly
bring laughter to replace the tears as he turns his farming experience
into poetry. He is
humorous, sometime serious but always something his audience can relate
to. He has been invited to
appear on prestigious Cowboy Poet states across the Midwest.
Pat has been performing on stages all across the US
for 25 years. She takes her
music into any setting with ease.
She appeals to school children, senior citizens and all ages in
between. As a recording
artist, she has 10 albums to her credit with airplay in Belgium, Ireland
and here at home. She has
performed at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo. and is an inductee into
the National Old-Time Music Hall of Fame in Anita, Iowa.
Favorites from Previous Years: flea markets, antique tractors, vehicles and small engines, Steam Engine, continuous country/gospel music, stock antique tractor pull (Sat.), open antique tractor pull (Sun), parades, pancake breakfasts, homemade pie and ice cream, food concessions, tatting lessons, blacksmith, field demonstrations including shelling and threshing, Civil War Encampment, petting zoo, hourly raffles, Sunday Church Service, and much more.
